How to Find and Identify Your Current Chip
Exposing the PCB Board
Shut down your device, disconnect from power and safely open the case to find the audio board. The location may be near the headphone outputs or RCA outputs.
Locating the Integrated Circuits
Look for 8-pin integrated circuits. If the chips are placed inside black sockets, then they can be replaced by dropping another chip into those sockets. If they are soldered onto the board, you need to desolder first.
Reading the Markings
The marking on top of the IC must be read. For example: NE5532P, OPA2134, LM4562, NE5534.
❗ Please be careful: Single channel and dual channel opamps have identical physical appearance (DIP-8 package), but different inner circuitry. Installation of a single channel chip in dual sockets can destroy both instantly.

NE5532

Single Operational Amplifier (Mono)
It consists of ONLY one operational amplifier per DIP-8 chip. Pin 6 represents the output pin of the signal. Pins 1 and 5 are typically utilized for offset null settings, while Pin 8 is not connected (NC).
Dual Operational Amplifier (Stereo)
Includes TWO individual operational amplifiers on one chip. It is suitable for stereo channel processing. Pin 1 is the Output of Channel A, and Pin 7 is the Output of Channel B.
